Why Monthly Giving Changes Lives — Especially for Mt. Si Seniors

At Mt. Si Senior Center, the difference between getting by and truly thriving often comes down to something simple: reliability. Our older Valley neighbors count on hot lunches, safe homes, meaningful conversations, and a trusted team they can turn to. Monthly donors make that possible—not in bursts, but in quiet, ongoing ways that shape the everyday experience of aging with dignity.

Every afternoon, you’ll find Jim walking through the doors, rain or shine. He comes for lunch, but also for laughter, purpose, and the kind of connection that feels like lifelong friendship. Because of our wraparound services, Jim doesn't need to drive across the valley for help. Rather, he can access meals, community programs, medical resources, and a caring community all in one place. That consistency keeps him not just nourished, but mobile, independent, and engaged.

This time of year brings celebration and generosity, but for many, it also highlights absence or uncertainty. While holiday drives meet immediate needs, monthly giving builds what comes next. It powers stability in an unpredictable world. Choosing to give regularly reflects something deeper—a belief in community care and the quiet strength of organic giving. If that speaks to you, join us. Help keep the lights on, the meals warm, and the walkways open for neighbors like Jim—one month at a time.
