On the last Tue of each month, Cheryl Andress is here to entertain us with beautiful fluid flute music. Cheryl plays everything from musical scores to popular ballads and your favorite golden oldies. Tell your friends! LUNCH 5 DAYS A WEEK
The Center serves a delicious, nutritionally balanced hot meal daily at noon. Individuals 50 years and older and their guests are always welcome to join us. Lunch is served daily Monday through Friday at noon. For individuals age 60 and older, we ask a suggested donation of $5.00 but all are welcome regardless of their ability to pay. For individuals under 60, lunch is $8. Serving 30 meals a day in 2024
In 2024 we are able to serve 30 lunches each day. Sadly, Federal level funding for nutrition programs have returned to pre-Covid levels. For most senior centers in King County, this has meant funding cuts of 40- 50%. Our lunch program was affected by those cuts. Yet, the need for affordable nutritious meals has grown immensely since then. We continue to seek additional funding for the lunch program and will adjust meal levels as we are able. In the meanwhile, please consider "brown bagging it" at the senior center so that you might still enjoy your friends and our lunch time entertainment. We are always thrilled to bring everyone together. |
