MEALS TO GO FOR SENIORS

12/30/2020: Mt Si Senior Center is providing lunches Monday through Friday to seniors who have difficulty providing themselves a healthy meal during this time. We offer both curbside pick up and delivery. To manage our resources efficiently, we are asking that seniors pre-register for a week's worth of lunches.

Between 01/04/2021 and 01/08/2021, we will take registration for seniors seeking lunches for 01/11 through 01/15. For more information please call us at 425-888-3434 ext 0. If you get our voice mail, please leave your name and phone number.

If you have access to food and are able to provide a meal for yourself, we ask that you consider us saving a meal for someone else for whom this service is a serious need.

STAYING HEALTHY

Here are a few actions we recommend for our employees, the people we serve, and the broader community:

The best prevention for viruses like the flu also prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and decrease the chance of getting sick. Please help us remind all to wash hands frequently while at home or visiting our programs in the community.
  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, with 60% alcohol, if soap and water are not available. Here are tips on good hand washing
  • Cough into a tissue or your elbow (not your hand), then throw tissue away and wash your hands.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick and stay home when you are sick.
  • Consult your healthcare provider if you or your loved one has health conditions that put you at increased risk.
More information can be found at the King County/ Seattle Public Health Website HERE.

MSSC CONTINUES OUTREACH TO SENIORS DURING STAY AT HOME ORDER

Mt. Si Senior Center Renovation Project
If you have been by the Senior Center recently, you may have noticed that the Center is undergoing renovations. The new roof looks great and work on the ADA restrooms is nearly complete. The building will also get a much needed new floor in the multi-purpose room, new ADA compliant entrance doors with no touch automatic door openers. We will also have a new big screen information station installed high on the lobby wall so that you can keep up-to-date on events and activities with just a glance from anywhere in the dining room. Don't forget to "Like" Mt. Si Senior Center's Facebook page to get updates and information.
